Pari Mahal:

Pari Mahal, known as "The Angels’ Abode," is a stunning seven-terraced garden perched atop the Zabarwan mountain range, offering breathtaking views of the city of Srinagar and the southwest of Dal Lake. This remarkable site exemplifies the beauty of Islamic architecture and reflects the patronage of art during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

Constructed by Mughal Prince Dara Shikoh in the mid-1600s, Pari Mahal originally served as both a library and a residence for the prince. Dara Shikoh is said to have lived in this area during the years 1640, 1645, and 1654. The structure was later utilized as an observatory, where it played a significant role in teaching astrology and astronomy, showcasing the intellectual pursuits of the time.

परी महल, जिसे "फरिश्तों का निवास" के नाम से जाना जाता है, ज़बरवान पर्वत श्रृंखला की चोटी पर स्थित एक अद्भुत सात-स्तरीय बाग है, जो श्रीनगर शहर और डल झील के दक्षिण-पश्चिम के दृश्य प्रस्तुत करता है। यह अद्वितीय स्थल इस्लामी वास्तुकला की सुंदरता का उदाहरण है और मुग़ल सम्राट शाह जहाँ के शासन के दौरान कला के समर्थन को दर्शाता है।

परी महल का निर्माण मुग़ल राजकुमार दारा शिकोह द्वारा 17वीं शताब्दी के मध्य किया गया था। यह महल मूल रूप से एक पुस्तकालय और राजकुमार के निवास के रूप में कार्य करता था। कहा जाता है कि दारा शिकोह ने 1640, 1645, और 1654 के वर्षों में इस क्षेत्र में निवास किया। बाद में, इसे एक वेधशाला के रूप में उपयोग किया गया, जहां इसका उपयोग ज्योतिष और खगोल विज्ञान की शिक्षा के लिए किया गया, जो उस समय की बौद्धिक गतिविधियों को दर्शाता है।
