Badarwah is a town in Doda District once ruled by Bandral Dynasty of Rajputs. This valley is located in foot hills of middle Himalaya so the weather is unpredictable and you don’t know when you will get drenched.

Doda has a rich cultural heritage and a famous dance from 'Dakku' is originally from the place. Another famous dance from is 'Gaurai' in which only females participate. They all dance in a circle and at the end clap their hands gently bend down and touch the ground along with folk tales the sequence graces the beauty.
